Enhance Your Skills: Online EHCP Training
Our Enhance Your Skills EHCP Training system is based on our 23 years’ experience training EHCP writers and our oversight of best practice across the country.
The 2014 SEND Reform has had huge workplace implications, particularly with regards to the new skillset now required of SEND professionals involved in the EHCP process. Our training programmes have accredited CPD Status with the CPD Standards Office and are designed for local authority or school SEND staff to complete in the workplace as part of practical training and/or continued professional development (CPD).
How does it work?
All of our training programmes are online courses that can be completed on a desktop computer or laptop with an internet connection.
The average completion time for each course is 2-5 hours, depending on the learner’s current level of experience. However, the course can be paused and resumed at any stage, enabling each learner to work at their own pace.
In order to complete the course, learners will work through several modules of content, each one followed by a non-assessed ‘Test Yourself’ quiz, to enable reflection of some of the key points from the learning material.
Once learners have worked through all of the modules, there is an multiple-choice ‘End of Course Assessment’ to demonstrate how they have met the assessment criteria for each of the learning outcomes. Learners must achieve a pass rate of at least 70%, but module content can be reviewed prior to taking the assessment and learners have two attempts to pass the assessment.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a digital Certificate of Achievement and gain CPD hours.

The Overview of EHC Plan Assessment Process course is designed for those in a support role, to develop an understanding of the function and requirements of EHC plans and the statutory assessment and review processes involved.

Complete EHC Plan Writer Training – designed to provide intensive ‘from scratch’ training for SEND staff or freelance writers who will be responsible for writing and amending EHC plans.
