To help with your enrollment, here are some frequently asked questions about our new EHCP writing course:

What does the Level 2 course offer?
This course offers intensive training in plan writing and is based on our comprehensive internal writer training programme. You will receive detailed step-by-step guidance through the plan writing process, develop strategies for approaching different aspects of the plan and assessment reports, and learn about best practice. You will also have the opportunity to put your new knowledge and skills into practice by completing learning activities and plan writing assignments. How do I know whether this course is suitable for me?
This course is designed for anyone who is, or will be, responsible for writing EHC plans, such as SEND staff within a Local Authority or educational setting, or freelance plan writers. It is ideal for those with some prior knowledge of the legal context and format of EHC plans, but when combined with our Fundamentals of EHC Plan Writing short course, it also provides ‘from scratch’ training for those new to SEND. What exactly is the beta version?
Whilst this course undergoes CPD accreditation (in line with our other available courses) and any minor bugs are resolved, learners can enroll onto a discounted early release version. You can still access the full course content, complete all of the activities and assignments, and achieve a completion certificate at the end.

How long will it take to complete?
Depending on your existing knowledge and experience, we estimate that you will need a total of 55-90 hours to work through the learning content and complete at least the minimum submission requirement for each of the 14 plan writing assignments. However, the course can be paused and resumed at any stage to fit in around your other work commitments, there are no set deadlines for the assignments and your training license remains active for one year from enrollment.
